How to Apply for a UnionBank Eon Visa Electron Debit Card and use it for Paypal Verification:


1. Visit Unionbank’s website and sign up for the EON Visa Electron Card.

(NOTE: Online EON Card application is currently inactive. Alternatively, you may visit a Unionbank branch near you to apply for a Visa Electron Card. As such, you will skip several steps in the process.)

2. Choose a branch where you want to claim your card. Don't forget to note the landline number of the branch where you could follow up or check on your application and availability of your card.

3. Claim your card after a week or so -- Don't forget to bring 2 valid IDs

4. Ask the teller to help you deposit Php200 to your Eon Card. (It takes 24 hours for EON to be activated for ATM use.)

5. Enroll your card to EON CyberAccount Online Banking. Having an online account will help you track transactions better. Online Account Activation takes 2-3 Days. Hence, you won't be able to log-in right after a successful application. Be patient.

6. Once your CyberAccount has been activated (You will receive an email from Unionbank as confirmation), you may start using Eon card for Paypal verification. Note that CARD Number refers to the 16-digit number printed on your card, the 12 digit number is your ACCOUNT Number.

7. As part of the Verification process, Paypal will charge around $2 to your Eon Debit Card and will, at the same time, send a 4-digit transaction code. This transaction code will facilitate step-2 of the Paypal Verification process. It takes 3-4 days for Unionbank to get this code from Paypal (but the $2 charge to your account happens almost instantly - Paypal will reimburse the same amount to your Paypal Account). To retrieve the code, you'd have to get in touch with EON card support.

How to Get a Smart Money Card [With MasterCard LOGO]

First, You have to get your own Smart Money Account through your cellphone[smart or TNT sim only].
Getting it is very easy, Steps are as follow ;

1. Text "MONEY" to 343[Its free!]. Wait several seconds for the text message to arrive.
2. You will receive a message asking you to create your 6-DIGIT PIN. [Do not share it to anyone! ]
3. After creating your desired 6-DIGIT PIN a new menu will open again and you have to choose on the two options "Link a Card" and "Get Account". Choose "Get Account"
4. Done! You will receive a message containing your very own 16-digit Smart Money Account

After Getting your 16-digit Smart Money Account, Its time for getting your Smart Money Card.
Steps are as follow ;

1. Visit this site > secure.smart.com.ph/money/apply.aspx
2. Fill up the Online Form. Fill it with your true informations.
3. A Smart Agent will call you after 24-48 hours to verify if you are really applying for a Smart Money Card. The Agent will also ask you if where do you want your card to be picked up by you.Be sure to make your CP fully charged! They might call you anytime! :)
4. Wait for 7 days - 21 days before you get your card. Smart will text or call you telling that your card is ready for pick up. You can also try going personally to any nearest SMART branch to apply for a Smart Money Card.
Note : If you apply online you are the one who will get your own card. But if you apply personally they will be the one who will deliver the card to you within 3-7 days. [There are lots of complaints that the card has been delievered to them after 3weeks+] So it is recommended to apply ONLINE.
5. Then after the waiting time you have now your very own SMART MONEY CARD!

After getting your Smart Money Card You should link it to your cellphone [w/ smart or TNT sim]

How to Verify Alertpay Using Smart Money Card?

Verifying your AP through SMC is much easier, Steps are as follow ;
1. Log in to your Alertpay Account. Look for "Add Credit Card"
2. Fill up the Form with your Smart Money Card 16 DIGIT. Before Submitting you should UNLOCK your SMC first. After UNLOCKING click "NEXT". Then You will receive a test message. Example of it is like this> " 04/03 15:55 Approval of Php 71.90 purchase at ALERTPAY.COM Merchant from card exequiel."
3. After getting the text message proceed to the next step then ALERTPAY will prompt you to put the amount they send to you. Because the currency used is USD or EURO you should CONVERT the Php 71.90 to USD or EURO then put it on alertpay then POOF~ VERIFIED! Enjoy Your Verified AP account now!
